These changes are now live in all AirBadge environments.
New Features
New Report: Invalid Rapbacks: A new report will help your office identify individuals with active Rapback subscriptions who may not need them.
Five-Year Badges: AirBadge now supports 5-year badges. Contact support if you need to update default expiration for your badge types.
Visible Updates (The ones you see)
Changes For Badge Applicants: Additional instructions about document numbers have been added if badge applicants are using DS-1350, FS-545, and FS-240 documents to apply for their badge.
Changes for Signatories:
If your airport requires signatories to screen their applicant’s submitted ID documents, signatories can now rotate ID document images. We have also provided more detailed information on the button to request a badge applicant to start the process over.
Changes at Badge Issuance:
Trusted Agents will now see new confirmation windows before issuing a badge. These windows will prompt agents to confirm several details to make sure agents have checked ID documents, and that the badge printed correctly and was handed to the applicant.
For our PACS-connected airports: If a person’s name is different in access control, AirBadge indicates the discrepancy during badge issuance.
For Airports using AirBadge to print badges: you’ll find changes on the printing screens in AirBadge.
We have improved our process for handling fingerprints. AirBadge also now handles fingerprint case numbers.
For applications with a third-party CHRC: AirBadge now prompts the badge office to start the background check only after the third-party CHRC information is received from the signatory.
The status date for 3rd party CHRCs is now displayed if it is included with the vetting information.
Airports using Digicast integrations: we have improved tracking in AirBadge for training accomplishments from Digicast.
Administrative Updates (You might notice these)
- We have improved the “Merge User” process for our PACS-connected airports.
- Badge Application Export Fix: We corrected an issue on the export function on exports from the Badge Application screen
- Additional driving endorsements are now available. Contact support if you need changes to endorsements.
- We fixed an issue where badge application updates were unintentionally clearing out previously submitted ID documents at TSC.
- On badge application PDFs, we have added NCIC to “Place of Birth” in parentheses if an applicant’s place of birth is not the US.
- During the authorize badge issuance step, if authorization is denied, a comment is now required.
