These updates will be in place for all airports on the morning of April 7, 2026.
New Features
- Person Archiving (User Data Retention): Airports can now automatically purge archived user accounts and related data after a configurable retention period. Access the setting at Tools & Settings > Automations > User Data Retention, enable automatic deletion, and select your retention window. A nightly verification process confirms eligibility before permanent removal.
- Physical Document Examination: A new document examination workflow within badge applications requires badge office staff to mark documents as physically examined during the badge application process.
- Configurable options let you control whether signatories can renew expired badges and how long after expiration the renewal action remains available to them. Configure your settings at Tools & Settings > Badge Applications. Keep in mind that AirBadge automatically terminates renewal badge applications 30 days after the badge’s expiration date.
- TAs and ASCs can add verified identification documents from the People screen, under the Identity Documents toggle. AirBadge prompts the agent adding the document image to also provide the document number and other relevant details.
- Notification updates: When sending a notification to a Signatory, AirBadge can now optionally send the message to all Signatories at the company. Open a support ticket to request our team to enable this notification option at your airport.
- If your airport uses forms, notifications can now be sent when a form is approved or declined. AirBadge Support can now enable a setting to bypass manual badge office review on selected forms. Contact support if you would like to update the settings for your configured forms.
- The Stop List Automation now supports an optional daily email schedule, configurable under Tools & Settings > Automations. Scheduled daily stop list emails ignore throttling settings. Learn more about the AirBadge Stop List.
- The Person Flag feature introduced in the previous release now supports an optional follow-up date with color indicators. These flags also display when reviewing the Vetting Dashboard. When adding a flag, the office must enter a comment and select a priority level. A follow-up date may optionally be added that shows a yellow for entries under 20 days and red highlight for entries under 10 days.
- A new action on the badge details modal allows the airport to track a payment status on a badge (not just a badge application).
Visible Updates (The ones you see)

AirBadge no longer creates action items for bounced emails if the individual is not assigned an Admin or Signatory role. Individuals with roles will still generate action items. All bounced emails will be updated to end in “.fake.” Signatories can update these email addresses via the red mail icon on the Badges screen or the Badge Applications screen.- The email error indicator in the Badges and Badge Applications lists is now clickable, providing signatories an option to more proactively correct invalid email addresses.
- Updates to the look of the Reports screen allow users to navigate between available reports at a glance.
- Violations and Action Items Grid now match the newer data grid interface used elsewhere in AirBadge.
- The current badges table shown during badge application validation now displays the status of the applicant’s current badge.
- The Company details modal includes updates to make it easier to manage and create signatories for the company.
- Driver’s License Expiration Date in Badges Grid: A new column showing the primary examined driver’s license expiration date was added to the Badges list data grid.
- Previously, signatories reviewing long badge lists had to scroll through responded badges to find the ones still requiring action. Now, badges that have already been responded to are moved to the bottom of the list, making badges that still need a response easier to find at the top.
Administrative Updates (You might notice these)
- Various enhancements for airports using badge printing including warnings if the operator is reusing a badge serial number currently in use on a previous badge.
- If your airport prints badges from AirBadge, updates to the “Modify Endorsements” availability will prevent you from posting updates to a badge that should be replaced.
- Company Badge Type reporting enhancements include escort threshold settings and changes to how badge types are associated with companies.
- For airports using our “Company Divisions” functionality, these divisions have been renamed to “Sub Companies.” Improvements are in place to more easily manage Sub Companies.
