Does AirBadge Support Sub Companies?

Features & Functionality

Subcompanies

If enabled at your airport, AirBadge can track sub companies. The Sub Companies functionality allows you to organize companies into a parent/child hierarchy. If your airport would like to use this feature, reach out to our support team to ask if it can be made available for your airport.

How Sub Companies Work

Sub Companies are self-contained. Each company, whether a parent or a sub company, has its own signatories and badges.

  • Signatories on the parent company see only parent company badges.
  • Signatories on a sub company see only that sub company’s badges.
  • Signatories on the parent company: Adding a Company Manager role gives the gives that parent company signatory permission to see, but not directly act on, badges in sub companies.

Adding a Parent Company Signatory to a Sub Company

Because sub companies are self-contained, their badges can only be managed by someone with a signatory role in that sub company. A signatory employed by the parent company will not have access to badges in a sub company unless they are assigned a manager role. If one person needs to manage badges across multiple companies or sub companies, assign them signatory roles for each company.

Reporting: Parent Company Column

When the Sub Companies feature is enabled, a Parent Company column becomes available in your Companies list. You can add or remove this column from your view and use it to roll up your companies list for reporting purposes.
