A Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) is a background check required for most badge holders. Certain individuals may be exempt from this requirement based on their employer.
Company-level exemption
- An ASC can designate a company in AirBadge as a federal agency (for example, FAA or NOAA). When a company is configured this way, badge holders created under that company are eligible for a CHRC exemption by default.
- However, eligibility is not the same as an exemption. Even when a company is configured as a federal agency, the ASC must review each individual person to confirm and apply their CHRC exemption. CHRC exemptions are tracked at the person level in AirBadge.
