For security and privacy reasons, users with a Signatory role cannot view badge holder email addresses or other contact details within AirBadge. Users with an ASC or TA role can access and export this information if needed.
AirBadge is designed with a specific security principle in mind: to provide users with only the minimum information required to perform their designated role. The Signatory role is focused exclusively on the review and approval of badges and badge applications. For this reason, badge holder contact details, including email addresses and phone numbers, are not visible to users with a Signatory role. This protects badge holder privacy in situations such as job transitions. For example, if a badge holder changes employers from one company to another, their previous signatory should not have access to their updated contact information.
What signatories can see
When reviewing badges and badge applications, signatories can view:
- Badge holder name
- Badge number
- Company
Fixing bounced email addresses
If an email to a badge holder bounces, signatories can update the email address directly. An email error icon will appear on the Badges screen and Badge Applications screen, allowing signatories to correct undeliverable emails.
Accessing contact information
If your airport’s policy requires that signatories have access to badge holder email addresses, users with Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) or Trusted Agent (TA) privileges can provide this information through a periodic export. Steps to export contact information:
- Log in to AirBadge as a user with an ASC or TA role
- Navigate to the Person data table
- Filter by “Badged Companies” if needed
- Use the export function to download the required contact information
- Share the exported file with the necessary signatories
