Signatory ResourcesIf you sponsor badges at your airport, you know that managing many badges can get complicated. AirBadge makes it easier. These are a few common scenarios where AirBadge can help you manage badges under your authorization.
Deactivating a badge
Any signatory can deactivate a badge under their company’s authorization at any time.
- Navigate to the badges screen, which shows all the badges under your company’s authorization.
- Select the View Details button next to the badge you wish to deactivate.
- Select a deactivation reason.
- Add an optional comment and select Deactivate Badge. Your deactivation will be reported to the badge office immediately.
- Collect the badge if possible. Wherever possible, deactivated badges must be returned to the badge office.
Begin a badge application
To start the application process, click the Start Process button then complete all the questions on the New Badge Application screen.
As you complete the questions, search for the applicant’s name to check if they are already listed in AirBadge before creating a new individual.
The questions on your screen may vary depending on your airport’s security plan and your requested badge type. You must answer each question on the screen to start the application process.

Send an AirBadge invitation email to an applicant
Login problems are a frequent concern among new AirBadge users. If your badge applicant can’t find their welcome email, you can re-send an AirBadge invitation email at any time.
Select Badge Applications > View Details > Resend AirBadge Invitation Email.
Incorrect email address? If the email address for the applicant under your authorization not correct, the applicant will not receive their welcome email. Only a TA or ASC can change an email address in AirBadge. Contact your badge office if you need to change or update an email address.
Checking the status of a badge application
AirBadge makes it easy to follow the progress of a badge application.
Search by name or filter your badges to locate the badge in question. Click View Details to view the Process Overview screen that shows the status of an application.

Reporting a missing badge during an audit
The purpose of a badge audit is to uncover discrepancies, so it is important that you report a badge that is lost, damaged, or no longer authorized.
If a badge is no longer authorized, AirBadge will report the status change to the badge office immediately.

Unknown person listed during an audit
The purpose of a badge audit is to uncover discrepancies, so if an unknown person appears on your badge holder list it is important that you notify your badge office. The person may have been assigned to the incorrect signatory or the badge may be unauthorized.
If there is an unfamiliar name on your list, you can send a message to your badge office using the Other option on the Respond to Badge Audit screen.
